In 1999, a group of concerned parents in the Toronto area determined that there was a need for a new girls’ High School to provide an excellent education in both Torah studies and secular subjects in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. With the endorsement and encouragement of prominent Rabbonim, the parent group, led by Danny Gordon a’h, established Tiferes Bais Yaakov.
The school opened in September 2000 with 19 students and has grown to more than 150 students in the 2013/2014 academic year. It became a destination of choice for girls looking for an intellectually challenging program within an atmosphere of caring, concern and trust.
The original vision has become a strong and successful reality thanks to the tireless efforts of our founders, supporters, parents and Executive Board and the inspiring leadership of Rabbi Feigenbaum and his very dedicated staff.
